Detour move pretty damn fast… Formed at Exeter College in 2025 (and with only a handful of gigs under their belt), debut single Respectable was released by the GMRC in June 2026 on a one-week turnaround. Since then, it’s notched up national radio play, a stack of reviews and over 5000 streams on Spotify. Sophomore single, On The Road, sees the sextet exploring a different side of their character with a woozy coming of age tale of nostalgia, longing and hope.

It’s the sixth release for the GMRC and the second taste of Detour’s forthcoming EP.
